SCENT WORK

AKC Scent Work is a performance sport where we train our pet dogs to find essential oil odor the way working dogs are trained to find drugs or bombs. Dogs are filled with joy when they participate in Scent Work.

DMKC sponsors four AKC Scent Work trials a year. Our volunteers are the greatest resource we have. DMKC has kind, experienced, generous volunteers, who share their resources to provide trials for the scent work community. Typically, the first 2 trials of the year are July 4th and 5th. The first weekend in December are when the last annual DMKC trials are held.

AKC Scent Work is a very popular sport and brings competitors from all areas of California. All registered AKC dogs are welcome to participate which includes PAL registration.
