Trophies

The Trophy Chair will be responsible for coordinating the purchase and delivery of all trophies to the appropriate location.

Timeline

November

• With the November dues statement the treasurer will include a request for trophy donations.

• Members are given the opportunity to support which group they want with preference given by seniority in club.

• There will be a first choice or second choice of group trophy

• or a donation to the general trophy fund.

• After all of the funds have been collected, the chair will create a budget.

January

Begin to research design and cost from various vendors. Present the Show Committee with suggestions for their approval.

This is the hierarchy in terms of amount to spend.

• 1) Best In Show (conformation), High in Trial, High Combined (obedience) and Rally High in Trial(check AKC for term)

• 2) Group Winner (conformation)

• 3) NOHS BIS

• 4) NOHS Group Winner

Medallions may be given in Obedience for new titles.

Other Considerations

• Always include the DMKC Logo

• Try not to include date, so trophy can be used again if not presented for the current year.

• Consider size and fragility. (Hard for handlers to pack.)

• There is a Special Award from Past President Ruth Edwards to the Breeder of the Best of Breed
